Nike Air Force 1 released in 1982 and created by legendary Nike designer Bruce Kilgore, the Air Force 1 was the first sneaker to feature “Air” technology and was named after the Air Force One aircraft that is used by the President of the United States. Both models featured a toebox absent of perforated holes and had mesh side panels.
